Beautiful, rich, velvety voice...bella voce! Luciano Pavarotti
Winner of several National and International Awards and Voice Competitions, and with a Masters Degree in Music and Vocal Arts from the Conservatory of Bologna, Italy, Ada is one of South Florida's most consummate performers, having appeared in numerous recitals, concerts and operatic productions in Italy, Germany, and the United States.
While studying in Italy, Ada had the honor of receiving private vocal coaching from tenor Luciano Pavarotti and soprano Mirella Freni, with whom she later shared the same concert stage at the "Settembre Musicale di Modena", in Modena, Italy. Ada's repertory training includes the great repertory coaches Maestro Leone Maggiera and Maestro Ettore Campogalliani.
Upon hearing Ada's voice for the first time during an audition when she was only 19 years old, Luciano Pavarotti commented: “…a very beautiful voice with a rich velvety quality... Bella voce!”
With over 4,000 performances in over two decades, Miss de Luque's career highlights include performances in Germany with the Dusseldorf Opera, in Italy with Teatro Comunale di Bologna, Teatro di Modena, Circolo Lirico di Forli, Circolo Lirico di Nonantola, Teatro Comunale di Casalecchio, L'Orchestra di Reggio Emilia, and the Piccolo Teatro Alla Scala, and in the United States with the Florida Chamber Orchestra, Treasure Coast Opera, Miami Opera Guild (Florida Grand Opera), Florida Chamber Orchestra, Hallandale Pops Orchestra, Pro-Arte Grateli, and the Arturo Toscanini Orchestra.
Among the various honors bestowed upon Ada for her career are "La Ghilardina d'Oro” (city of Modena, Italy), Medals of Honor from "Circolo Giuseppe Verdi" (Rovereto, Italy) and “Circolo Della Musica e Balletto” Nonantola, Italy and four ACCA Awards (Association of Critics and Commentaries of America) for various performances in the United States.
Crossing over to smooth jazz, Ada de Luque’s recent CD, "Warm Summer Night Dreams", for LuzArt Music, has been capturing listeners and critics across the world, not only as a vocalist but also as songwriter. Ada’s successful foray as a composer, a talent she began to cultivate back in Italy, has also produced two global hits on Billboard’s “top ten” for the Latin market. And her classical music compositions include her “Ave Maria” which has been performed in various churches in South Florida.
Adding to Ada's career as a performer and composer is also an illustrious teaching career as Professor of Voice and Music both at The New World School of the Arts and at Miami-Dade Community Colleges.
